Why stay at the hotel?
That's a good question!
Practically everything will be happening at the hotel itself and you wouldn't want to miss out on it all! From early morning till the next morning (literally) you'll be up taking part in our fun activities/workshops/entertainment/etc. during the day and come night time busy making new friends and hanging out with the rest of the attendees!
http://conference.unavsa.org/2009/program.php
If you don't stay at the hotel, you'll be busy commuting back and forth and will definitely miss out some great memories in the making, will probably end up late (lets not forget traffic), and will make it a hassle for yourself if you ever have to change outfits and such, which you absolutely will. Can you really be sure you'll wake yourself up in time? Can you really afford wasting that precious time you do get to sleep traveling to and from the hotel each day/night?
Of course not! So lets not risk it and burden yourself. We would not want you driving (in whatever condition you may be in at night) anyway! Safety first! I can keep going on about this so I'm just gonna say this: I have chosen not to stay at the hotel when attending a conference before and I absolutely regretted it! Don't make the same mistake and book your room already! It's only $86 to stay at a very nice hotel full of amazing people for the weekend!
Just ask yourself this one question: Do I want to hear other people tell me about what great memories they've had at the conference or do I want to be the one that was there when it all happens? I know I'll be there, will you?

Which CPP Will You Support
Hi Everyone,
As you all know, the Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) is an incredibly important part of uNAVSA and our annual conference. Starting in 2007 and raising $32,000 for VietAct, we've been able to increase our donation every year ending with $51,536 for VOICE in 2008 with the help of VSAs and uNAVSA supporters all around North America.
This year we have 3 highly deserving organizations with 3 unique project proposals that are hoping to be the 2010 CPP. I hope you can spare a few minutes to learn more about each of the 3 projects because they will need your support and vote at uNAVSA-6 which is less than a month away. Remember, every attendee gets one equal vote that will go towards the organization of their choice...your vote really will make a difference! The organization chosen will be the one you and your VSA will be fundraising for all year.
Also, this year we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to learn more about not only the organization but their actual proposal before the conference in order to cast an informed vote for such an important decision. Check out our updated website which has a summary of each org, their website, and the actual detailed proposal. http://conference.unavsa.org/2009/CPP.php
Feel free to contact Thao Le, the CPP Selection Director at thao.le@unavsa.org with any questions.
We can't wait to see you in Atlanta, GA on July 30th and encourage you to bring out people to support your next CPP!
Just a further reminder, please register AND pay by Wednesday, July 15th in order to get the Regular Registration price of $85; Late Registration is $100.
